This propaganda from Belgium uses an emotional approach to ask for funding to support their country and help the hungry. It shows how many were living in Belgium were suffering and how they were in dier need for help to keep the majority of the population from starving. It was meant to affect the more wealthy in Belgium to support the "local cause". It was published by the National Commitee For Relief in Belgium who published multiple propagandas in the hope for some relief for Belgium.
This propaganda was effective in achieving its purpose because although Belgium did have a long period of suffering but their propaganda did aide them in surviving the "Rape of Belgium" even though their economny was left in ruins. Propaganda, like this, was somewhat helpful to Belgium to revive itself after World War 1 and the huge debt that followed.
